A bashed skull and a self-portrait

Post by Neon Dingo »

<img src=http://a.1asphost.com/fugitech/anome.jpg>

I was drawing a silohuetted man with a crowbar standing above this guy with his brains bashed out and somehow when I was erasing stuff around the guy it spontaneously filled the white areas with black and turned all Spawn-esque and I decided to leave it.

Just a quick sketch, quality could be improved dramatically if I wanted to.

Also, here's a self-portrait I did for my AP 2-D class at school

Robotic/Reptilian stuff is actually a seperate layer I drew on with map pencil on this plastic transparent sheet called "mylar."

Comments, suggestions, criticisms, obsceneties are appreciated as I plan on taking either one of these to a state art competition when I complete them.

That guy must have been really smart...I've not seen that much brain come from one person since I drew a picture of me shooting myself when I was in third grade...Not that I'm comparing your work to a third graders (I think your stuff kicks ass)...I'm just saying that's a shi-fuck load of brain.

Haha, it definitely is a lot of brain. It's just not as fun to draw a little bit poking out of the skull like a baby chick poking its beak through the shell.

No crosses here mate. Good stuff.

I like the first picture. The background is pretty nice though the gradient thingy is a bit iffy. The foreground is good, though the brains looks to singular and un-brain like. I understand it's a rough cut though, but still pretty good.

I like the second pic better than the first. The hat could do with a bit of re-shaping, but it has good colours. I prefer the robot face too the lizard skin but the colours aren't too bad. The red spot/led on the nose is a bit meh. The top has a nice touch, but the neck needs more uh...lines? mabye.

Your drawings are good, but need a bit more detail or planning. Like I think the second pic would have been a lot better if the face was all robotic and it just had the circuit-board type of stuff on.

Just my opinion yo

The second image is actually a lot bigger but my scanner could only scan so much. The hat is supposed to look like that, but it's hard to tell when it's that cropped.

As for the top image, yeah, I should make the brains less singular.

The reptile skin was very arbitrary and I got tired of it so I made it robotic. The wires on the neck are much more abundant as it gets lower.

The gradient is lame, I agree. I should do something else with that background.

*Raised thumb*

Innovative!

In the first picture I especially liked the detail contrast. Maybe it wasn't intentional, but by making the corpse look sketchy you focus the attention on the dark figure, who also stands out by having a different kind of look as opposed to the rest of the image.

Spilled brains don't look a damn thing like that, though. Nice attempt nevertheless.

4 crouching guardians, hidden tiger.

The other picture is also quite nice. Don't have much of a comment here, it's a 2/3 with a metallic affinity, nice play of colors, but you dismissed the mouth, looks like you erased the lower lip?

3 Guardians, gangsta style.

EDIT
Does anyone think the nose is sticking of the picture?

Hm... come to think of it, what is the weapon that shady figure is holding in his hands? A sledgehammer? A gun with smoke coming out of the barrel? An axe? A meat cleaver? A scythe? :D

you're an idiot. you don't have to know whether or not something like that exists. even if it does, so what? it doesn't mean it was used for ideas or copied, dumb ass.

Hey, you really are a fucking dolt, aren't you? Here, let me elaborate. Winking emoticons are often used to indicate a joke as sarcasm can be a bit hard to grasp, especially via the Internet. When the emoticon IS used though the "joke" should become quite apparent, yet you still failed to "get" it, ergo you, sir, are one silly cock monger.

P.S. stop digging up light year old threads cum guzzler. Case closed!
