According to a <A HREF=http://www.duckandcover.net/forums/view ... 4202>local forum post the SciFi Channel will air a movie version of the post apocalyptic book series, Deathlands. We are not entirely sure if this will be a movie, a mini series, or something else. Here is the description at the SciFi homepage:

In 2104, powerful tyrants rule a ravaged Earth populated by a mix of humans and mutants. A heroic few band together to overthrow injustice - but their leader's familial ties may do them more harm than good in this adaptation of James Axlers Deathlands novels. Vincent Spano and Traci Elizabeth Lords (First Wave) star.

Apparently Deathlands is a long running series of about 61 books. There is a full list at Post Apocalyptic Media for you to skim through and get an idea what it is all about. I personally never read any of these books, but they sound pretty cool.

Thanks to Jack_Deth for the heads up.
