Tim Cain talk on FO3 from March 9, 2002

[ -> Interview]

A chat log from March 9th, 2002 between Killzig and Calis and Tim Cain on the subject of Fallout and it's future - specifically Fallout 3.

Killzig: Here's a silly question, if you were on the FO3 team what area would you use as your starting point for the story?

Tim Cain: Well, Killzig, I have already written a design for Fo3, but I have sworn not to talk about it. If I see any of it in the next game, I can rest assured that it is coincidence.

The irony is that Interplay sold the rights to Fallout to Bethesda over Troika because they had more money. However, if the design of the game was already done by Tim Cain, then Fallout 3 would already be in production and on the shelves a lot sooner considering Bethesda doesn't even have a team in place to come up with a design even though they've been trying to buy it for nearly eight months now.
Read: Tim Cain talk on FO3 from March 9, 2002
