Well, that would much better fit me than "Trusted Spanker of the Undeserving"

Installation instructions....

Post by Viktor »

Now this is probably not the first (or last) time this question's been asked, but how do you install a custom mission or campaign???

I've a feeling that just clicking the 'Custom Mission' button on the Main FO:T menu would explain all, but I'm on my work PC and taking advantage of the office LAN for a fast download.....

Maybe a FAQ for custom mission 'n00bs' (like me) might be a good idea on the FO:T mods and maps forum???

I advise you to download Max-v's and Endocore's latest maps. They include very analytical Readme files to explain this issue. By seeing what they are doing its easy to do it for most of the other maps also.

MV, Ditto on Viktor's query. I couldn't get JB2&3 to work even following the readme. Can you include a batch file to run them to make it simpler for us that can't RTFM.

To make them work partially, you have to put the files unziped in fallout tactics in Mv's folder.I can't help further, cause lately i didn't have the time to fix it and continue playing(the way I described you can play without jb2 intro and lola's description. You do get to keep your inventory items from JB1)

Arg, I get the feeling I goofed up somewhere...

All you really have to do is put the various files in the folder that WinZip shows under the "Path" heading, then make the new shortcut as described in the readme.

I'd love to make a .bat or .exe to put everything in the right spot automatically, but I don't have the first clue how to.

BTW, JJ86, what's RTFM? Read the f-in' manual? Good idea

You can't make a batch file. It would require for all players to have it installed under the same subfolders.(Unless you want to make multiple batch files for variations, but that would cover those with C:\program files\mygames...etc.)

I just sent Kreegle a new version of Rebellion, and he PM'd me to tell me it has been updated, so if you had problems with the speech file, re-download it and try it out. I'll update the file on my site as soon as Geocities is done with their maitainence.

Whelp, I've uploaded the newest Rebellion.zip to my site. Grab it while it's hot! (from either here or my site).

I just realized, when typing Rebellion2's readme, that Rebellion's readme is incorrect when it says to put the speech file in Fallout Tactics\Max-V\core\locale\missions\

The real address (as some people have figured out) is Fallout Tactics\Max-V\core\locale\missions\Rebellion\

That is why so many people had problems with Rebellion's speech. My bad!

Now, to zip up Rebellion2 and post in on my site...
