A Long Walk

Post by Jeff »

I'm thinking of taking a long walk

I've bought all kinds of gear so that I can eat and sleep outside when I'm not walking

Hundreds of dollars' worth of gear, including an elaborate hammock set-up

I'm not in a great shape and I've never even been camping alone so this is probably not my best idea

I don't even know how to set up the hammock

However

I'm going regardless

Probably

The length of the walk depends on how soon I get sick of walking I guess, so it might actually be a moderate walk or even a short walk

I'm embarking after next week I think

But before I go, do you have any secret walking or camping techniques to teach me?

Do the walk. I was going to get some cheap rain clothes from a sports outlet and ended up buying a whole set with trekking shoes. Now I have to do a walk too. Luckily I am going to work from the end of August in a Norwegian outback region with lots of trails. Talking day trips though but might expand into something who knows alright

Yeah day trips sound good or maybe overnight trips but I was planning on walking like 500 km  I mean why not but unfortunately I have some shit I have to take care of and that long a walk would get in the way of taking care of said shit, temporally speaking, as the walk would take weeks. Next summer I'm sure! Except I might not even be in the country

I bought new shoes last month bros and I think they're the worst fuckin shoes I've ever had, they're supposed to be "bare foot", who knew walking barefooted meant being in constant pain? Wait it doesn't because I'm fine if I'm actually raw dogging the pavement (or just wearing like normal shoes instead). I've been punk*d! by consumer*sm! boy do I feel like a right Kutcher

might get Karhus next, they're a Finnish footwear brand that sold the three stripes design to Adidas for like $2k and a couple bottles of booze. Speaking of Adidas, did you know Adidas was founded by an Adolf and Puma was founded by his brother Rudolf because of some prime beef. or something like that anyway
