What genre should it be? Turn-based isometric RPG? Shooter? Strategy game? I'm thinking an isometric RPG like OG Fallout. The Dack Chronicles.

maybe some sort of a mismatchian detective story, dac noire, by rock star gaming and energy drink conglomerate, inc.

I could do sound (music and sfx), maybe some 2D stuff like textures, but I don't know Unity and my programming experience is limited to a tiny bit of Python so I'm useless in that deparment
anyone have any experience with Unity?

Unity merged IronSource, a known malware developer, so that engine is right out.
