Obama, as a man, is utterly meaningless when we are trying to figure out whats going on with our country. I think its pretty clear that we are heading down the same course we were heading when Bush was in office.

Bush may as well have remained president. I actually think we would be better off if he had, and not because I believe he's any better than Obama, but because they are exactly the same in terms of policy. AT least with Bush, we knew outright, from the start, that he was a useless clown. With Obama it took alot of people a couple years to figure it out.

This is how the media obstructs our view of whats really going on. They make the issues about the people and their personalities instead of delving into the system that puts these people where they are. Its best to think of the changing of power between the two parties as a sort of rebranding. When we were fed up with republicans, they gave us democrats, now we are fed up with democrats and they will give us republicans again.

Meanwhile, behind the scenes, the same exact entity is chugging along, doing exactly what it wants to do while the population is kept busy blaming the puppets. The thing is that the puppets can be thrown out and brought in at whim while we argue about which one has american values and which one's a lunatic communist, etc..

To look into who pulls the strings is the stuff of conspiracy theories.

Yeah pretty much. The fact is you haven't even goten socialised medicine as the rest of the civilized world have. You have now got the worst possible mix of "capitalism" and "socialism". Its not a free market system with many independent actors and its not a universal healthcare system for the benifit of the people.

Noooo...its a big-corp owned system where the government is handing out taxdollars in the billions to a few specific insurance companeis that in turn will ask the doctors to perform the most expensive tests for no reason as they are guaranteed payment by the government.

The simple fact that the biggest lobbyists behind for example Hillary are pharmacompnies should make it very clear for people who's running what or at least the fact that people aren't running shit.

The people in your government are currently fucking you so hard in the ass that I, as a friendly word neighbour can feel the pain. I can't believe there hasn't been some serious terrorist activity and I'm not talking about people in towelheads this time.
