Well I put down that I would be intrested in going to NCO School and trying to get into the MP.

First week went great, second week terrible, our company got a fever epidemic and half of the barracks was sick. So last week on friday checked in the military hospital was there until monday then got 4 days of R&R.
(VP, VP, VUP, VUP)

So missed allot of stuff witch I eventually have to do and loose a weekend for it.

Anyway

War time mission: hunt down deserters, opposing force's spec-ops and behind-the-enemy-line-partisans. Terrorize civilian population and make life difficult for other army personnel. Oh, and guard important installations like power plants, bridges, road blocks, checkpoints and stuff. And do the occasional raid into a civilian apartment in search of weapons of mass destruction, illegal firearms or porn.

I mean that you should take the opportunity to learn something that will be completely unthinkable to learn or use outside of the army, ie, learn to operate heavy artillery, learn sabotage, operating a tank or some shit like that. If you really want to be the most unpopular douchbag in the army, you go MP. Its a simple equation.

Hey Amis - not sure about your country, but life after military is really great. Here in the States, as long as you put in 20+ years - you get a decent retirement check every month, and pretty decent benefits on top of any healthcare you decide to purchase for yourself. It's one of the fastest ways to "retirement" here in the USA.

Sure, you have to put up with a lot of shit, but many women (or men if you prefer) really like 'guys in uniform'. If you really don't feel you have other options like college or a great career lined up, it might be a good career choice.

In any case, I wish you the best and hope everything works out for you - do what's right for you.
