Fallout 1 Question

Post by vesselle »

how do you "push" kids out of doorways? it's been so long since i've played fo1, i can't remember how to do it. i know fo2 had a "push" command, but i seem to get stuck for days inside other people's huts because i can't get the little cretins to move.

thanks!

You have to wait for them to run out of the way.

FO1 doesn't have a push command.

A shotgun blast to the back of the head normally does the trick!

I remember on the old Interplay FO2 boards there were many complaints- before the release, regarding this issue.

It was announced that there would be *pushing*.

And there was much rejoicing.

P.S. the trick with FO1 is to remember that, technically *YOU* are the one doing the blocking, according to the AI.
Sort of like "Defensive Driving": you have to do the NPC's thinking for them.

If there is a way to move inside the hut, try it.
If you have high Stealth you could try killing the blocker without being detected.

Perhaps make "Idiot Savegames" before going into cramped areas.

Y'know, to avoid the "Ian-Effect".
