I just sent off the first one. If it isn't answered by the end of the business day in Australia, he's getting a barrage to welcome him on Monday morning.

I have just completed making the fourth mission. I now need to complete the final mission, and it's going to take awhile because of all the scripting that will be done to make it work correctly.

I then need to finish up some voice acting, add a couple new graphics for "atmosphere" items, and figure out how to make the game play the speech file for a mission briefing.

Just make sure the sound file name begins mission, and ends in brief. Or something to that effect, just check out the exisiting speech files. Same for displaying the text, if you've used mission_brief = {} it should automatically play/display.

Well, it doesn't. There's something weird about how to get the brief to play; it doesn't seem to follow the name convetions all the other MP3s for speech do.

I even tried naming it like in the original game, which resulted in the game loading General Barnaky's briefing and not mine.

Oh, jeez, Requiem! I misunderstood what you were saying. I gotta use the mission name as its imported into the campaign!

Thanks for the help!

Shouldn't this thread be moved to Fallout Tactics Mapping, Modding and Map Reviews, anyway?

I emailed everyone I could find on their website :)

contact@microforte.com
joemc@microforte.com
stevew@syd.microforte.com.au

They're diffenitely going to get sick of us

*EDIT*

In the intersts of spaming it would appear that their email convention is the first name plus the first letter of the second name @microforte.com, so by looking at the people section of their webpage we can deduce that the following are other likely email addresses:

Roger Buckeridge - Chairman
rogerb@microforte.com

John De Margheriti - President and CEO (thanks to Jimmyjay86)
johndem@microforte.com

Vicki De Margheriti - Vice President and Director
vickidem@microforte.com

And lets not forget this one
webmaster@microforte.com

I assumed this was the place, because it was its just generally discussing the mod. I've always thought of the Mapping, Modding and Reviews section as a place for technical discussion.

Good work, Wild_Qwerty. The offensive will grow in intensity...

I got a reply back from Microforte today. Looks like yet another reason to blame Interplay for all lifes problems :)

Unfortunately Interplay own the rights to all the source code, and it
would be up to them (we are contractually bound) to decide to release
it.

That's more than I got from anybody.

Let's start e-mailing Herve, then.

I really dont understand why some companies hold on to obsolete tools like they are made out of gold. I mean you could put condition of use in the license agreement to use the program that "these editors can not be used for comercial gain etc..."

I think they just get hang-up on the fact that they own it, and makes it them feel better that no one else can have it.

I just finished creating the missions for the mod. Some tweaking and balancing needs to be done, and a couple details added before the mod is complete. It'll be around 15mb to download and should be out by the end of next week.

THE MOD IS DONE.

I have PMed a couple admins here about getting the 14.5mb file hosted on DaC, and have yet to hear a reply. I refuse to host it on NMA, because all the support and suggestions I recieved came from the DaC community, so it should be a Duck and Cover exclusive.

If anyone wants it in a bad way, I have it in my Kazaa shared folder. You can try finding it by using "Chrome Warriors" as a search term, but since using "Fallout Tactics" as one produces nothing that should get similar results. If you do find it, it will be a 14.5mb file called "eagleclaw.zip".
