You get about 250 coins for delivering the cats paws. The date isn't part of the quest.

Yea but she also says to come back later for a date. So you go back once you complete the game

As I've always said a Rat baking perk would have been much better than a ghecko skinning perk. Maybe the Giant Rats turned the food chain around on the cats? and cats now live in holes in the wall and eat cheese

It's COMPLETLY unrelated to the quest. You can simply ask her out as a dialogue option and she'll tell you to go save your people first. Come back and it does that screen fade out/in crap.
