Pete Hines Down Under tour

Post by cazsim83 »

[ Game -> Interview ] - More info on Company: Bethesda Softworks | More info on Game: Fallout 3 | More info on Person: Pete Hines

via Matt Grandstaff, Bethesda Softworks:

Fallout 3 coverage continues to make its way online as Pete Hines' travels around the globe continue.

We begin with a video interview Gamereactor TV did with Pete at the Ubidays event in Paris a few weeks back. To watch the video, head <a href="http://www.gamereactor.se/grtv/player/p ... nt&id=2404)http://www.gamereactor.se/grtv/player/p ... /a>.

<a href="http://bethblog.com/index.php/2008/06/2 ... As mentioned before, Pete’s been down under showing Fallout 3 to gaming press from Australia and New Zealand. This week, Game Arena (Australia) put up <a href="http://www.gamearena.com.au/news/read.p ... >a new preview. Likewise, the folks at Gameplanet (New Zealand) have <a href="http://www.gameplanet.co.nz/pc/previews ... strong>new impressions of the game. Additionally, they posted some Q&A stuff that followed Pete’s demo. Here’s a sample:

Press: How many factions are there in the game?

Hines: There’s the Brotherhood of Steel, we’ve made mention before that the Enclave are around, there’s Talon Company, and the Brotherhood of Steel has a splinter group as well. So there’s a number of groups including the Raiders as well. Factions are just different groups in the world that you will come in contact with, but you don’t really join any of them in the traditional sense. It’s more about you, what you’re doing, and how you interact with these groups.

No word yet on whether or not Aborigines ate Mr. Hines for his desecration of a sacred golden idol.

Spotted @ Bethesda Blog

we’ve made mention before that the Enclave are around, there’s Talon Company, and the Brotherhood of Steel has a splinter group as well.
Talon Company? Any relation to Talon Squad from FOT? Gee attempt at continuity or just bankrupt for new ideas? Oh wait FOT isn't canon. :?

I liked FOT, it was not fallout per se but it was still a good game. Story wise it failed pretty fucking hard though.

I wouldn't mind seeing another Fallout Tactics-esque game - so far it's the only multiplayer Fallout (including 3) and since nobody plays it anymore, and I only got a few successful multiplayer games out of it, I'm kinda sad.
