Yeay! I completed FO2 5 days ago. I've been in Germany for 5 days, so I haven't been able to post.

What do I need to do to get Sgt Granite to join me! I Falched my chr to 10 but he still wouldn't believe me.

I am also going to point out 2 easter eggs you have already noticed:

Sgt Granite is in EC company- does that really mean Easy company from band of brothers?

Also Sgt Granite(?- someone in the Enclave) says Frankie H is "More Machine than man now" which is what obi-wan kenobi says about Darth Vader in Starwars.

I have tried every cinverstaion route. No luck anywhere. I just put some plastic by the reactor- no virus or anything. does that help or not?

It's not your CH. It's your speech skill. The higher charisma probably boosted your speech skill, but not enough to get Granite on your side. FALCHE up your speech and try again.

wait, are you aware that you can only get granite to help you kill horrigan?
im pretty sure you do, iirc he only appears when its gonna' blow.

use "empathy" perk if you are having too much trouble. (blue=good)

You need 76 speech and the whole group joins you to fight Horrigan (instead of being attacked by them...)

NO! It wasn't my first character. it was my first to get through the game. I was THIS close to completing it and then I installed a patch and I lost that savegame. I was soooo pissed off.

you can 'legally' pick it up if Horrigan dies on top of another enclave trooper; just cycle through their inventories with the little arrows and you should find it.
but that has been said before.

I think so. You can also get the deathclaw's attack (claw I believe).

cool... gotta try that... must be a pain in the ass to get them lined up. unless you let them go in for a melee attack while you are near their corpse... hmmm

Nah, the trick is to kill them really hard and really fast--so fast that the computer doesn't have time to tell the weapons to cease to exist.

I've gotten them the way I mentioned it above. I don't know how your other method described would - perhaps it requires a slow computer?
