They aren't bad. I dug the Lord of the Rings stuff. I think I'd call them metal ballads tho'... Yeah, their LOTR songs were very good. "Metal Ballads" is a good definition for their newer albums (Nightfall in Middle-Earth and A Night at the Opera), but their older albums are speed metal.
