FO2 pwnz BG2

http://www.gamespy.com/titlefight/matches/0123.shtml

Eh, gamespy, and hardly news.

I always thought Baldur's Gate had a far bigger fanbase than Fallout though?

You should definately have a website and something to show, before making major announcements. There has been and are many ambitious mods that aim for greatness, and they either haven't or wont see the light of day for some reason or another. I can see sense in announcing if you're looking for peopl...

Combat in BG fails on so many levels. Magic is much overpowered, and can make or break any fight in mere seconds, in a most boring and frustrating way. And then there's the fabulous real-time ACTION PACKED PEE-WEE melee combat. Composed mostly of fake filler swings, and actual swings that never hit,...

wtf, that's how he wrote it in the first place.

How about "fuck his daughter, fuck his wife, and fuck him over." Everyone can understand that.

The sequel was probably planned long before FOBOS shipped. But, you know, that's Interplay and their crazy chance-taking schemes. Generic action games for consoles, they're rebels!

Avril Lavigne and Good Charlotte is the shit, literally. They're among my all time most hated people evar. Even the most annoying songs from the 80'ies don't measure up to sk8erboi. Eh, i have odd music taste according to most people. Queen, Biohazard, Benny Goodman, Muddy Waters, Beethoven, Chopin,...

I think a blow-up sheep is next in line to a barbie doll.

Too bad for Barbie and Ken, but great for Mattel, lots of cheap publicity, and a terrible coincidence for it to happen on Valentines Day. Let's see if they get back together for Christmas next year.

I actually think it would be great to revert back to the 1700s. I'd survive and you wouldn't. I know how to fire a gun, build a fire, skin a deer, build a shelter, and many other things. Eh? Are we talking oil shortage or nuclear war here? My brick house is not gonna come tumbling down just cause o...

There's also one on the toolboard in the back of Elridge's in New Reno. I'm playing the german version of the game but I think that should be no problem. Actually, for the Curtis quest, it might be a problem, since most European versions shipped excluding the kids. There's a patch to put them back i...

I appreciate the term "flanking" is probably alien to you, but to execute tactics, you need room to manoevre, sometimes lots of room. Many S2 maps don't have room to swing a cat. Funny, i always thought part of tactical combat was to form your strategy, to fit the environment in which you...

Sounds like a bad case of Star Wars syndrome. All these "decades later" sequels usually end up sucking, i think Mad Max should stick to being a trilogy.

Neon Dingo, what do you want us to do? Panic and run around screaming? I don't mind placing my faith in science, there's not much else i can do? And what the fuck does it matter where i or anyone else puts their faith, does that change anything?

I believe Black Isle was formed around the time Fallout was finished. I think Fallout is accredited to Black Isle, because everyone who worked on it eventually became Black Isle, since it was indeed IPLY's RPG division. So to be very uptight, Black Isle did not make Fallout, Interplay did. BIS didn'...

Must be hard to be a chain-smoker. I mean, your throat must be completely dried out if you smoke that many fags :blowme: Heh, what a pun. Eh, i'm from a non-smoking home, both my parents stopped when they were expecting me, so smoking just seems stupid to me. But i don't think smoking for taste make...

New Reno went over the edge with the gambling, prostitution, crime families, and the porn studio, which was way off. Who's gonna spend money on porn, when hookers are a dime a dozen right there on the street? And who can afford a working television to watch the porn anyway? I think New Reno was very...

An actual multiplayer option, no. I think there was a method once, where someone figured out a way to have several people play on the same Fallout installation or whatever, it didn't really work well. Lots of interruptions and stuff.

I think you could transfer items between characters though :hahano:

Actually, the endorphin blockers are in Vault City, more specifically with Dr. Troy inside the vault in VC. I think you can do the quest if you bring Myron there and talk to the doc about a cure. Can't quite remember though.

Combat looks is pretty useful. It means that, when in combat, instead of clicking someone, you can just hover over an enemy, and you instantly get all his details, like hitpoints, weapon, ammo (if you don't have awareness, you'll just get the critter's wounded status), and you don't have to switch t...
