Like I said, I can be cynical, I just think the fanbase has got that covered. As a fantastically awesome games journalist, I feel it my solemn duty to offer differing viewpoints for your discussion and deliberation.

Interesting. VATS doesn't sound too bad in this preview.

just had a thought though - this megaton thing. Will it be possible to do all the quests there, THEN go to the guy and blow the place up, getting access to the other place? i.e. get the best of both worlds?

hope not.

ipod docking bay

Ok, I've sold my main sound system, got rid of most of my CDs, and my music library is basically electronic and on my ipod right now. I'm after a decent sound system, not too expensive, to use with it - an ipod docking bay. Can anyone recommend one that's good value for money? I'll be moving into a ...

Games journalism is really in the gutter, but I've known this for a while. There are a few possible exceptions - maybe Edge magazine (though I haven't checked it out recently), for instance. Oh well. That's what fan forums are for, and, erm, blog...

Well, king's not the only newsposter around here. It's just, he kind of does most of the work :| Which sucks, but, you know... at least he has the honour of running the place and being the head. Actually, I keep bugging DU for a user submitted news system where we just click 'approve' and the thing ...

I dont like the bad and good ways. Give me morally justifiable reasons for doing all different sorts of options, please. And if there's one feature I wanted scrapped fom the previous games, it's the karma system. It flies in the face of the whole moral ambiguity thing, having a 'good' and 'bad' rati...

So, I don't have time to read through all these previews and stuff, but it seems isometric viewpoint is possible and the game doesn't really look that bad? Game length might be a problem - 20 hours + 20 in the hype mght mean shorter time. But they really seem to be trying to get this game 'Fallout'....

Fallout 3. Brace for impact.

[ Game -> Update ]
Ok, so all those questions that people asked Matt Miller of GameInformer to ask Bethsoft have come out. You can read them over...

I find it distressing that they are discarding the fanbase in this way in favour of paid suckup exclusives to magazines. It makes me think their target audience is perhaps not us. I dunno. Re: RPG Codex summarises FO3

On the other hand, there are some (unsupported) quotes from Todd Howard in Game Informer that do lend some hope - such as one quest path will cut off others - and Vault Dweller skips on these. No doubt he would claim that Bethsoft made the same claims about Oblivion... I didn't skip on these, and I...
