It's not because you don't have the skills to use a fucking controller that the game sucks. I think the PS2 controller is rather well suited for any racing games.

I agree that the PS2 controller is good for driving. I have a PS2 to USB converter and use it for driving when I play Mafia.

However for anything else... like moving about and shooting whilst on foot or what have you. The controller couldn't be worse.

I don't care how good you think you are with a controller. You take someone who is exceptionally good with mouse aiming and someone who is with an analog joypad thing... and the mouse aimer will kill them every time. It's more precise.

Even people in the industry have admitted that when you're making a console and PC version you kind of have to dumb down the response times of the enemies and make concessions for the clumsier controls of the joystick.

I wish I could find that interview which Warren Spector said that. However it's totally true.

I've only ever bothered with the PC versions of the GTA games, and I have never experienced control difficulty. Rather, I consider the control options to be quite intuitive. :drunk:

I don't think Warren Spector's opinion matter much.
I just think you shouldn't say no to PS2 games just because of the controller, even if it's omg not as good as a keyboard and mouse, it can still be fun.

Warren "Tyranny of Choice" Spector is a hack and far past his prime. DX2 was a steaming pile of shit.
How appropriate. You fight like a cow.

Did he have a major role in DX2? I thought that was handled by a different company, or something.

Hm, neat.. I nicked a jet in the Los Santos airport, flew to Mt. Chiliad, jumped out in mid-air, and used my parachute to land safely. And then I found a Mountain Bike on the very top of the mountain, and rode it down the side of the mountain :pelvic_thrust:

Do you get a parachute automatically when you enter a plane?

Yeah but you have to finish the pilot school first though I think.

I have the Strategy Guide so if you have a question just ask.

I have a question - would you be so kind as to provide a warning before posting any spoilers ? I'm sure you know the drill. CHEERS. :drunk:
