Tribes 3 Vengeance

Post by First Force »

i am a big fan of the original starsiege tribes, although i played tribes 2 for a while, i just didnt like it.
now i got my hands on tribes 3, and im lovin it. although im waiting for a renegade mod(tribes 1 mod) for tribes 3.
i liked the base building part, i have never played a shoot em up game in wich you could make bases( or extend em ).

now my question is what are your thoughts about tribes 3, and if someone knows a shoot em up game in wich you can actually build a base in multiplayer mode?

You have no fucking idea how many hours I spent playing Tribes 1. My hopes were higher for Tribes 2 than any other game... needless to say I was crushed when it turned out to suck. I'll probably get T3 eventually. Maybe I'll get it when the Shifter mod comes out.

shifter mod i found to be a tad overkill, but stil enjoyable for a quick game, and i know how you feel about tribes one, im the same, i still play it sometimes like a junky on crack.
but i must say tribes 3 is good, although it does not have a skirmish mode the singleplayer missions are quite good, it has a pretty good story line.
this game is worth buying, i assure you

So I got T:V... I find that it stays true to the spirit of Tribes 1. The gameplay is much better than Tribes 2, and the SP campaign is pretty good. Of course, I'll enjoy it much more once they come out with Shifter mod, and some decent UI mods. Also I'm hoping someone makes a bunch of remakes of the classic maps from T1.

Raindance and Broadside were awesome... my favorite 3rd party map was Canyon Crusade, or possibly Emerald Valley. Rollercoaster and Dangerous Crossing were fun once in a while too.

Did you guys know that Tribes 3 was made by the team who made System Shock 2?

Try Planetside - www.planetside.com

Besides the recent addition of BFRs, this is a very good fps game.

I thought about it, but the T:V competition ladder combined with World of Warcraft should keep me busy for a long time.
