The role of an Administrator
I think that Mr. Teatime is doing a fine job as the king pin. Its a tough job but someone has got to do it. I have always found him to be fair and balanced in his decisions. He uses his powers sparingly and with an even hand.
He has given a number of troublsome individulas brief periods of punishment followed by reinstatement into the fold after their pennance has been completed . To not have Mr Teatime at the helm would be unthinkable.

Teatime's fine. I don't think he "micromanages" at all. An Admin should be on top of things, keeping a finger on the pulse of the community - the PULSE, I tell you! Speaking as a former Admin [cough], I can say it takes a lot of work to keep the whole place in line. That goes double for DAC, which has tons of members and more spam than the canned goods aisle at Kroger.
What the hell are you guys circle-jerking for?
An Admin should never get involved with forum drama, or create it. Um, there was something else I was going to add, but there's too much on my mind at the moment.

Ignore Ozrat, he's got some kind of grudge, probably insane jealousy of something.Ozrat wrote:What the hell are you guys circle-jerking for?

Of? :confused2:
Seriously though, that was constructive criticism. What's the point of sponsoring forum drama when 99% of the time it hurts the community? And what's the point of bitching about NMA in your news posts?
If you can't take some comments about your performance, then fuck it.

News spammer? WTF that’s kind of a kick in the teeth, when every other admin on the board wanted to kick your ass to Pluto permanently Mr. Teatime handled your case with restraint and fairness. You should be ashamed of yourself fallout ranger.fallout ranger wrote:He's a news spammer, but he does his admin job well...
FYI a spammer pumps out pure rot like the content of most of your posts while Mr. Teatime posts interesting information that is relevant to the FO + Post APOC community.
learn to put your post finger on safe fallout ranger and think before you press that button. Ask yourself is this post really necessary? does it add something to the board or just take up space?

You can quote your mothers medication list for all I care but the fact remains Mr Teatime isnt a spammer. Spamming carries with it a negative connotation ALWAYS, get a clue.dictionary.com wrote: Spam
Unsolicited e-mail, often of a commercial nature, sent indiscriminately to multiple mailing lists, individuals, or newsgroups; junk e-mail.

I kinda like this guy.
Anyway, I think Teatime is a good admin, and just needs to get used to running this wacky freak-fest known as DAC a bit more. He posts tons of news, he's always around #fallout if you need to talk to him, etc. Though the best part about Teatime is that he isn't Killzig. Thats not saying much, though.
Give Teatime a chance, and I'm sure we'll convert him into a snarling DACite like the rest of us in no time.
