Warhammer 40,000

No, not Dawn of War. This is gaming, but not computer gaming. I'm talking about the tabletop. I saw Exitium's signature and self-appointed rank and decided to inquire as to who actually plays this, Fantasy Warhammer, Battlefleet Gothic, or something along those lines. I'm interested in starting Warhammer 40,000 and just curious if anyone else out there does or did.

If you do play, who are you, what are you, and why are you.

I used to collect Fantasy miniatures..but i have given up on it. I valued them strictly aesthetically...i never really, actively participated in any tabletop war. I never even bothered to familiarize myself with the rules. Rather than composing a coordinated army, i amassed an incoherent lot of entities for the soul purpose of filling up space on my shelves.

I wasted a lot of money on that crap...

Used to play WH 40k and WH fantasy battle....
I still play them sometimes... and paint em for fun...

I never tabletop game and it doesnt look appealing to me. I have played all the standard monoply and stuff so I guess that makes me hardcore?

I played 40k as Dark Angels, Eldar and Imperial Guard and had a few Necromunda gangs back in high school. Pretty much gave up the gaming aspect due to the people, but I've been painting some harlequins lately.

I used to play the Tyranid swarm in 40k, still got some of my models but haven't played in years.
