But gee - it better be well optimized to run without lag, no matter how familiar they are with the system. 50% addition to polygons and no loading times sounds a bit huge for something as simple as a Playstation.
You have to take 2 things into consideration:
1) GTA doesn't look state of the art anyway.
2) They've been working on this for about 3 years.
You better not underestimate the power of the playstation mate. Or I'll fucking kill you.
When speaking of consoles, especially PS2, it reminds me of this:
Teh Sh1t.
I can't help it, but I'm not a really big fan of console gaming and since PS2 really is a lot weaker than today's average gaming PC, it's my *duty* to doubt it's abilities.
Oh well. I hope San Andreas will be good too. I really digged VC and if they're getting half the improvements, it'll be *gheeewd* with a big G.
Actually the Ps2 is more capable than people think.. than I thought atleast.
The Ps2 developers just have no ability... you're left with the impression that the console can't process large scenes or good graphics from the quality of average games, but then games like Ratchet and Clank, with a thousand bolts bouncing, crates breaking, enemy everywhere and moderately good physics runs at a solid 60 fps while looking absolutely great.
Games tend to look better the more you go into the consoles lifeline especially with a popular system like ps2. Remeber when it first came out and the games looked like shit compared to dreamcast? Now they got the dev process smoothed out so games look pretty good on it.
ya i'm pretty smart so like supa compter=me

Either way. I absolutely re-muthafuckin-fuse to play any game that involves shooting with a controller. I play mafia with my PS2 to usb setup for the driving, and when I'm on foot I use my mouse and keyboard for shooting. If I can't have that. I don't want no stinkin' GTA: San Andreas.
Boywoos said it will be on a Dual layer DVD which is bullshit since the ps2 cant read dual layer. 4.7 gigs is plenty for most games since most games dont even use all the space up.

Yeah, they did. The whole game is Manhunt engine. I haven't even played Manhunt, but from what I know it'll definately be a good thing.
suppose you're thinking about a plate of shrimp. suddenly somebody will say like 'plate' or 'shrimp' or 'plate of shrimp', out of the blue, no explanation.
Erm, both GTA3 and VC's PC versions let you shoot with mouseaim.
Hello captain obvious you win a prize! Which is why I played both of them. However in case you totally missed the point of my post. I refuse to play any game that requires shooting in either the third person or first person with a controller. Which would logically imply. I will avoid GTA: SA like a flesh-rotting plague if it's only on the Playstation 2 and the shitbox.
Don't play then, douchebag.
I don't plan to if it's only on consoles, ya crotch-curd spewing minge.
