Where is the Super Tool Kit that you need for the car part? I can't find it anywhere! I have the UK version patched (that means no children). Can anyone point me in the right direction?

Go to Vault City and find a pliers and a wrench ( you can find them from the vault) and give them to the lady in the repair shop ( left to the main store in the city.) Come back after a day and she has 4 kits. Ask to give one for you and she gives it. Then go to Gecko and claim your part.

BTW the guy you get tha car part upgrades your weapons for free, if you don't ask about the car part and DO NOT bring him the 3-step-plasma-transformer. Bug perhaps, but a good one. He takes outrageous prizes for upgrading your weaponry after you give him the 3-step...

But once you get to New Reno, you can go to see Algernon at the basement of New Reno arms for arms upgrades.

I think Smitty, the man with the van, has a super tool kit you can barter for. It's a bit expensive though.

Him (Smitty) having the toolkit is random. Sometimes he does sometimes he doesn't. I've seen it on him only once throughout my FO2 playtime.

I've never seen it either what i see is the 3-step-plasma-transformer (after i give it to him) and so i steal it and give to him again and get another upgrade for free :roll:

Well, come to think of it, the only time I've seen him with one was also after I came back with the part...

As for getting upgrades multiple times, it's useless, as car upgrades are just falgs switched on or off, so getting it multiple times usually simply means that it gets turned on when it was already on.

One exception is screwing with T-Ray. It's an exception not because it's not a flag, but because screwing him WON'T give you the upgrade. You need to pay him, or make him think you're one of Bishop's guys.

That's a thing that always killed me, to think that he wants you to work when stealing pays off just as well! Not to mention, why would somebody walk around with a car-part and not just store it somewhere?

Ok, thanks guys, I got the car. One other question. About the Modoc quest... I have seen the Slags and delivered the message to Jo and he threatens to attack in 31 days. I went to the Slags and they said Karl went to the northeast. I have looked and I can't find him. Where is he?
