I think it's time for a designated place to discuss movies/directors/actors and all things cinema-related. They tend to clutter up GD, and also having their own forum would reduce the wasteland-digression. So, who's with me?

I say nay. What else is GD for other than to talk about anything with in reason. There aren't that many movie threads, they only pop up every few months so there wouldn't be much in the new forum, nor would there be anything left to talk about in GD if people keep spliting off a subject to it's own forum.

and maybe separate Army talk, Games talk and Political talk forums so we can completely delete the General Discussion.

Oh for fucks sake. Can we stop with the special forums please? We have a forum called GENERAL DISCUSSION. It is for GENERAL DISCUSSION which means anything GENERAL as in VARIOUS TOPICS. If you want to talk about your latest porno flick in there YOU ARE FREE TO DO SO.

Here's my suggestion: Can we disallow Frank access to the Trash Can?

As atoga said (LOL I get support from unlikely people sometimes) if there were a movie forum, the discussion on it would be much more expanded than it is when it is simply in GD.

I voted yay, just for spite.

But I have to agree with the "nay" sentiment. Speaking from experience, forums reserved specifically for one corner of the pop-culture world usually don't fare very well - not many people post in them, interest is lost, etc. Besides, more people are likely to see your thread if you put it in GD.

So I retract my vote. Er, hypothetically.
