How much time in days to you really have to complete Fallout 1?

150 days but if you go to the water merchants in the hub they will charge you 2000 bottle caps (I think) for 100 extra days water

You can get it with 500 caps if you're speech? IN? CH? is high enough. I don't know which has to be high, probably the speech, but you can get it with 500 caps.

I had a strange bug with this time thing. I started a new game, moved towards Shady Sands, and I got all the Remingboy messages in a row and then the game ended as the Vault died!!! and I was ventured only 3 days! I loaded that game and did it again and I saw that the TIME was moving BACKWARDS!! This has happened to me in FO2 too after the Talking Head SE.

Weird, huh?

That's just for the water chip quest. You can complete that in the 150 days, or 250 days if you do the water merchant thing, and then you have a lot of time to do what you want.

The game will end after three years though, which is more than enough time to do most everything you want to do, and stop The Unity.

After 500 days, though, some versions will have the mutant take-overs start, so preferably finish within 500 days!

So if you draw the game out to 500 days can you take on hordes of them in various towns? That would be sweet.

That is correct. However, it also gives you bad endings for the places.

shitttt......I play the english version of fallout and NEVER had that mutant taking over towns and having an option of fighting em....only saw at the end movie the hub being destroyed by mutants and never recovering picture...............pah.........
