I have a little more free time now, so I can start a campaign myself. I plan not to concentrate on the Brotherhood so much though.

As it is early days, any suggestions would be appreciated. If anyone wants me to do something with their old maps that's good too, because I am not the best mapper in the world (hence some of my maps don't even have walls).

I was considering making a campaign using the maps that recreated FO2. If I was going to follow a good guy plotline, I would have used the NCR Rangers, and if I went with an evil plotline I was going to use the Mordino family.

Feel free to steal my idea, because I'll probably never get around to implementing it.

No thanks, I'd rather create a new story in a new place. You can't do the original locations justice without the Fallout engine.

I'll set up a progress thread for my campaign.

I agree. The FO/FO2 location maps are probably best suited for Single Player, stand-alone missions rather than campaigns. For instance, a map of New Reno would be nice for a gangland shoot-'em-up. To make things interesting (read: challenging) the player could control a "squad" from the Wright family...one without the rocket launchers gotten from SAD.

Oh, one thing I would like to know is why the NCR Rangers have to be used for a "good guy" campaign. Sure they're dedicated to the eradication of slavery, but that doesn't mean that someone involved in the struggle is necessarily a "good guy".

But I have one more question. I have quite big problem.

I tried to add to random encounters Legions troop. But when I updated from editor campaign.txt file ALL encounters disapiered included old ones.

Old for example look like this:
{ "ReaverHorde01_Easy;bad;5;8;true;D",
"entities/Actors/Reavers/reaver_02_hth.ent;8;10",

etc
And I added new this:

{ "Legionary01_Easy;bad;5;7;true;D",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_04_range.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_05_grenad.ent;2;10",

etc.

Wrom this moment anythig work properly.

If someone know where is mistake that help me a lot

If you've just copied and pasted that from your campaign.txt then the answer is simple you've missed off the end brackets and commas.

{ "ReaverHorde01_Easy;bad;5;8;true;D",
"entities/Actors/Reavers/reaver_02_hth.ent;8;10",
},

{ "Legionary01_Easy;bad;5;7;true;D",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_04_range.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_05_grenad.ent;2;10",
},

Double check that you've closed off all your brackets and used the correct type of bracket.

THX but unfortunately seems that there isn´t any problem. I checked it once again and there is whole my encounter:

{ "Legionary01_Easy;bad;5;7;true;D",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_04_range.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_05_grenad.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_06_infbas.ent;1;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_07_inflig.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_08_infmed.ent;3;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_11_sniper.ent;3;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_02_noncom.ent;2;10",
},

Big Tom check the rest of the brackets.

There should be an extra set of brackets at the start and finish of each section.

i.e.

forces = {
{ "ReaverHorde01_Easy;bad;5;8;true;D",
"entities/Actors/Reavers/reaver_02_hth.ent;8;10",
},

{ "Legionary01_Easy;bad;5;7;true;D",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_04_range.ent;2;10",
"entities/LEGION/Legionary/legionary_05_grenad.ent;2;10",
},

}

Also double check your spelling matches your directory set up and look for any typos or other mistakes and make sure that any comentary text has been nullified with //.

PS. If you're replying directly below someone's post there's no need to quote the whole post. :)

Yeah it requires a lot of effort to recreate the RPG maps in FOT, not that making new maps from scratch isn't time consuming as well but to keep the maps true to the originals and still have enough playing room to manuever seems to take more time than normal. I've done a new and old (V15) vault map still got Broken Hills to go.

Woot! I finally found what I was looking for in my books. Plus I found my RPG's general outline. I just kept SO much stuff in my head I really need to get it all down on paper this time. I hope I can really start working on my RPG again. It's going to take a while but be SO worth it in the end (at least I hope) :-P

But anyway I found the map I drew for the mission I was going blank on so now I can finally figure out what I was doing! Woot!

I have an overall mission plan for the campaign, but the actual maps I just make up as I go along. I let the tiles inspire me, they speak to me don't you know.

3 maps down 17 left to go.

Im sorta getting back into editing FOT. Sorting through all the maps i've made and might revive and rework my old unfinished campaign project. First off I will probably redo my old Shrine map and see if anyone plays it.
Good to see that people are still working on projects here btw.
