I had some problem finding that one too. I believe that's the one in Gorgoth pass. (looks it up on an Arcanum FAQ.) Yes it is. Just take the pass slowly & you'll find it.

I never tried to finish that quest. I messed up the order before I knew that it was suppose to be done in a certain way. I remember reading that the payoffs were pretty good though. Sorry I can't answer your question.

Not there?!?!? Not mentioned in the guide or not in the pass? There is most certainly an alter in the mountain pass. The same one in which you find the dead armored man. This is the the one between Dernholm & Caladon & not to be mistaken with Hardin's Pass.

I missed it the first time because I didn't explore well enough & headed straight through as the monsters trying to kill me were a bit more of a concern than alters. Yeah, it is sort of easy to overlook when you don't know how long the way is & have limited bullets.

Well according to Terra Arcanum's god quest walkthrough it's at the pass...

It's probably just a pain in the ass to find.

Don't you need to get it marked on your map?

Long time since I played that game, never did understand the god quest at all.

Someone care to enlghten me?

You know, funny thing is, my sister rang me about this the other day. I lent her the game, she was finishing that quest and needed to find the pass. So I opened up the undatted Arcanum files, got the exact location of the pass (in tiles) converted it to sectors and gave her the co-ordinates.

I just don't remember them at the moment. :? But the Gorgoth Pass really is a bitch to find. I never found it the first few times I played. It's only when you really go looking for it. You need to walk as close as you can right along the mountains on the (I think) left hand side of the range to find them. Either that or try the right hand side.

It's on the left hand side of the mountain range. And it's in a section on the map where you can go pretty far deep into the mountain range. Not sure if it's below or above the theive's cave though.
