Since I can't post news for some reason, Wasteland 2 beta keys are available to project backers. You can get your beta Steam key on the donations page at Ranger Central.

I backed but don't want to ruin the experience by playing a beta. Seems better to wait for the full game eh.

Yeah, I'm going to wait, too. As much as I'm looking forward to
Wasteland 2, stress testing software is such an awful, tedious ordeal that I simply cannot bring myself to volunteer for it.

It's unplayable on my rig. 30 mins overheats both the i7 and the 7970. This pipe is most definitely leaking.

I've heard the game is a mixed bag right now as far as actual game mechanics and writing are concerned.

That may true - I'm not part of a beta - but in the letter they sent out to the backers they made it clear a beta is far from the final product and everything is not as polished as it should be yet.
