Dead Money's story was out of left field and puts you into an oppressively horrific situation. Although the plot doesn't effect the main game it brushes up against it a lot, and feels like a supplement to the main plot.

My main complaint is it's so hard it makes the rest of the game feel like a breeze once you're dumped back into the Mojave.

The difficulty is one thing that I always hated about Fallout 3, as well as NV. Sure, the game shouldn't be a breeze, but if you shoot a dude in the face from a sniper, his head will explode like a melon. In Fallout 3, it takes a further 5-6 shots for his head to explode. That is retarded and simply constitutes poor game (engine?) design. To be honest it just really demonstrates how poor the FPS elements of Fallout 3 are.

Any excuse to take your items you spent 100+ hours accruing away is the name of the dlc game. Fucking put in some work and integrate it into the game. Dead Money is terrible. Point Lookout for Fallout 3 was how you do DLC.

They're not really ghosts, some kind of mutants.

If I'm not mistaken, they're the remnants of the Casino maintenance staff in some kind of uber-advanced hazmat suits. The logs said something about them having to cut the suits open to get them off, considering the difficulty of removing the suit. Writing wasn't spectacular at that specific point in the game

The suits got all rubbery and hard and craptastic from the cloud. Ghost people are some kind of ghoul-like mutants I'd wager, which explains the long life span. Doesn't explain how they eat wearing those helmets, though.

Anybody actually bothered by the ghost in FO2?

Easy experience to complete the mission, never really thought about it, but it does seem out of place since it is supernatural, after all.

The ghost in Fallout 2 makes as much sense as whales falling from the sky and alien spaceship crash sites and a fully functioning porn studio despite a complete lack of evidence that there's a means to watch movies after the war.

I've only played Dead Money for like an hour so far, but the writing is top notch shit and the atmosphere is awesome I like it more than any of the FO3 DLC and like that it connects to the body of the game more flush

Dog-God is like some Planescape shit up in here

I haven't even tried it. I'll wait for the GOTY edition, I guess.
