Knob Creek is actually what you want to be drinking.

Viru Valge

10 bucks a bottle (0.5 liters), packs 38 % alcohol.

Verdict: Gets the job done.

Eh, canadian whisky? Try Glenfiddich, Glenmorangie, Balvenie or Glendronach scotch. Now that's good.

Those are ok but I find scotch doesn't hold up to a good bourbon for my palette. Although I'm going to spring for a 21 year Glenlivet when my buddy has to leave the country.

10 bucks, what the fuck? Thought you could get it for half of that.
However, there are actually vodkas in Estonia that are worth the money.
I actually have a bottle of 80% Viru Valge here in France that I let my friends in on. Having some of that is perfect if you have to go out and started too late with the drinking.

On a note of whiskeys, Jameson gets my pick.

Never really understood this stuff about liquor. It's all the same to me, really. Stingy aftertaste and all :eyebrow:

Popov, man. Shit vodka and lemonade mix goes a long way.

Whiskey is good if you get it aged enough. It's got more flavor than paint thinner (aka Everclear) but it's just so damn... spicy

I'm all about American Whiskey. Had a mint jewel with my pops Saturday for the Kuntuckey derby, fresh mint and some Jim Bean.

The patriotic part of me'd say Mackmyra, Swedish single malt. But it's not quite my cup of tea. I'd choose a laphroaig, Talisker or mebbe even bowmore rather than Mackmyra any day.

Macleod's Islay is also a rather good buy considering the price.

I tend to stay aweh from them blended ones and only use them for making irish coffee.

Glenlivet and Teacher's for scotch, Woodford Reserve for bourbon, Forty Creek for Canadian, and Jack Daniels for miscellaneous. But I'm friendlier with tequila and rum than whiskey.

Bullet Burbon. The price just got hiked way the fuck up, but it's good shit.

I've actually pretty much made it through the entire burbon section of my friendly neighborhood liquor store.

Some burbon that stands out:

Gentleman Jack: Garbage. Fucking Garbage.
Fighting Cock: Better and Cheaper than the strong wild turkey
Old Taylor: Claims to be 40%. I highly doubt it. This holds true to nearly all the cheap ass burbons and whiskeys that claim to be 40% and are in a $20 half gallon. When I get a fifth of something quality that's 40%, I get drunk as fuck, even while sharing. I've shared many a half gallon of cheaper shit, and I don't get nearly as fucked up. I'll have to actually go shot for shot sometime and compare the two.
Old Grandad: Actually pretty good.

Jack Daniels sucks. I don't get how people enjoy it. Wild Turkey is wonderful.
