This is 1:1 replica of Star Wars Mandalorian Heavy Blaster Pistol from Knights of the Old Republic PC game:

It is weatheared to look sand-blasted and rusted, just like a proper Fallout gun.

There's a nice cobbled-up feel to it. Care to post pictures of the original?

Sorry. I didn`t take WIP pictures.
Base is a plastic Berreta 92 with parts from Colt 1911 pistol, Epson LX 300 printer and AMD 2200 motherboard.

Looks too much like it's painted.

You could lightly run a sandblaster over it.

The scratches look fake and it lacks highlighting.

Also, it looks too much like the gun it's based on.
I edited one of the pictures to show some of the weak spots I would change.

I meant pics of the weapon it is modeled after. I couldn't find a decent pic with google.

Well, I presume there's only one real way to make a scratch, thus how could it look "fake"?

Did the OP actually make this?

How did you get all those wierd parts on it? Are those actual metal and stuff, also is the base a real gun? Looks like a lot of work

On his scratches you see the lines of the brush. SOME lines are quite welcome, but not that many. Also, the scratches are way too prominent, and then not present at all at some places.
It's all about balance, a good feeling for HOW MUCH IS TOO MUCH, a good technique and shit like that.
magi keep on training and you'll be fine. You have the right approach but your techniques aren't flawless. And that's ok, because only through mistakes we learn how to make something right.

Look at this shit and how a little bit less detailing does MORE than overdetailing.

This truck has just a few lines as scratches and they do the job perfectly.

On this gun you see REALISTIC looking scratches on places which make sense. Your gun has some scratches on places which would be unlikely to ever get a scratch on them.

Are you retarded or don't you know how to track the source of a picture? I won't tell you if you can't do it yourself.

?

I didn't make the gun. If I'd do it, it'd look like a real one. But I have no time. Maybe some other day...

I took some screenshots of Mandalorians during gameplay. Game detail is pretty low, so most of the gun is pure improvisation. I just kept the general shape.

Uhm, how about POSTING those screenshots and improving visual quality settings for the short time when you take the screenshots?
