As far as I know, it's some kind of pop-culture reference.

Um... I can't remember the dude's name, but someone told me it was the first guy who flew over Atlantic?

What's his name, damn it!?

First solo flight over the Atlantic was Charles Lindberg in a plane called "Spirit of St. Louis"......

They say something about a comic strip gone bad or something like that, if I remember correctly.

Heres some of the conversation

Player: Who are you?

Sleepy Guy: I'm Chuck Stodgers, the greatest areoplane pilot in the world! Unfortunately.... I crashed. I staggered into this cave to get away from the explosion, and the fumes overwhelmed me.

Player: That sounds suspiciously like the premise of a pulp cartoon series.

Did none of you ever see Buck Rogers as children? I feel very sorry for you.

I saw lots of episodes.....they made Battlestar Galactica look like a well crafted series with excellent actors and special effects! Feel sorry for me!!

IMO, Buck Rogers is only worth watching to drool over Colonel Wilma in her tight white flight suit.....Phoowarr!!!

*Viktor's imagination drifts off to a little fantasy involving Wilma, Twiggy (fitted with some special attachments!) and a large tub of toffee flavour ice cream.....*

Apart from the pop culture reference, there is also a limitless money source.

Grab the uranium from the footlocker
Take it to the refinery
Give it to the guy to refine
When he's done sell it back to him, to make a profit
Go back the footlocker and another piece of uranium should be there.

You had that fantasy too? They missed a huge merchandising opportunity when they didn't release a "Col. Wilma Deering (and/or Princess Ardala) bending over" poster...
I'm not insane, I'm just misunderstood. Unless I misunderstood the meaning of "insane".
