New Age of Video Games?

What do you think? Should video games be fairly mindless entertainment, or should they be places where political and personal views are expressed? Should they be a podium for anti-war propagandists who should keep their nose in the liberal mess-media instead of in our video games? Post your views here!

At the very least this wasn't *just* a mackey thread. He actually was trying to get us to look at something gamespy was involved with at the same time. And that, gentlemen, is the true work of the antichrist.

I agree. The last thing I want is for some jerk to interrupt my gaming experience by trying to be "realistic".
Isn't that the point of games? Fun and escape from reality?
If he were to join a game I was hosting I would have to boot him. Thanks for the input

Socialist propaganda should be kept where it belongs: in the media and at major universities (and Europe). But if the US Army or some doorknob student game-makers want to knock themselves out making propaganda games that no-one will buy, let 'em at it and let the free market sort 'em out.
