Duck and Cover

I'm seeing that DaC people are beggining to play FOT. Since there's some things that are sure whoppin' overpower, soon I'll post some rules adaptated from the rules of Vault BR's WoV.
The reason why I think we should make a UNIFIED style of rules, per see, is that if you mix people of diferent comunities, you can find a guy using psycho playing along a comunity that don't. So, this is my idea for a UNIVERSAL set of rules for FOT:

OFICIAL MODES:

- TRIBAL mode - 1x1 ou allxall (TEAMS)
Chars: human, ghouls and dog with max 500 points.
deathclaw and super mutant 1k!
Prohibited weapons: Anything gauss
Extra: This mod has no Humanoid xD


- RAIDER mode - 1x1 ou allxall
Chars: All races using 2k
Prohibited weapons: Miniguns, Rocket Launchers, Browing e Gauss (all of them)
Not allowed: Psycho
Extra: This mod has no Humanoid xD


- NCR RANGERS mode - 1x1 ou allxall
Chars: All races with 5k
Prohibited weapons: Qualquer arma gauss, Vindicator Minigun, Rocket Launcher
Prohibited: Psycho
Extra: ALL RACES ALLOWED!

- Mode: Brotherhood - 1x1 ou allxall
Chars: All races
Prohibited weapons: Browing and Gauss Minigun
Prohibited: Psycho

Is FO:C any good in MP ?

Ive never tried it that way.

Depending on how you play it. if you play with a lot of 20k noobs who chew on psycho, it's damn stupid.
But playing Tribal, 2k, 5k and 10k can be very good, with the right rules.

Is there CoOp mode for FO:C MP ?


Players Vs AI.

There's LOTS of mode to play on FOT Multyplayer:

Skirmish: Like a deathmatch

Assault: Two teams: Defenders and Atackers. Defenders must defend a certain thing/machine/something of being used/destroyed.
Atackers must destroy/use/disable that thing.
Other stuff is all about the map. It's good to play with time.

Capture The Flag (CTF): You know the drill. Pretty simple and straight foward: You must capture the other's team (s) flag.

Scavenger: There's a certain kind of item around the map. The one that colects most of that kind of stuff (say, have to colect 20 cells) wins. Of course, since it's Fallout, people don't mind shooting you in the back and robbing your corpse.

CO-OP: You tag along someone and play a map against the ai. Say, play one of the maps of the campaing.

PS: Please STOP using FO:C. The name is FOT! You are insulting FOT players!

How much is the game affected by slower connections ?

It's not MUUUCH afected, but lag can be quite annoying, like burst don't hiting some DAMN CLOSE and such.

I am willing to give it a shot, do you guys play in hamachi ?

Almost everyone that I know and have FOT play on hamachi. I've done a network for ALL comunities:

network: fallout tactics universal
password: fallouit

You guys are cool but now I remember the reasons I stopped playing fallout tactics.
Realtime fighting and infitinite respawn really isn't for me, plus the whole game is unbalanced as fuck...

I need to find were my FO:C disk is at, lol. I might join up then.

That's what the rules are for. Browing-toting guys are real killers.
Besides, you played with the guy of Vault BR at 5k, and fought us equiped with leather armor and pea shooters? Funny enough, every non-brazilian that plays with us go with pea shooters on 5k, while we go with Enviromental Armor and high-powered weapons.

Besides... Brazilian Dweller was fighting alone against me, Blurkness and Outlaw. And before you ask how my mutant was so tough, I can garantee you: No Psycho.

You just need to try again, and use tactics.

Ok I'm on your server, fallout tactics universal, but how do I play? All I see is a list of names, and IP addresses.

use chat in hamachi to talk with others. Create server in Fot or ask somebody to do that, everybody in same hamachi network see each other servers in the game

Everytime i join a hamachi server no one is online is it just because they arent playing or is it because of a firewall or something?

When i try and join this network i just get a message stating that the address is not recognised. Am I doing something wrong? is the network only on at certain times? Or has the address changed?
