There have been massive rewrites and a new playtest. So the date has been pushed back, but it's still very much alive, just nothing big lately.

yeah, apperently it got pretty thuroughly went through at a few cons, so they rewrote nearly everything and changed rules, and they've even gotten a couple independant reviewers to go through everything now.
I'm guessing release in late March from the sounds of it, but don't quote me as all I'm going on is the news on the main page and the little John's said in e-mails
