A desolate wasteland in first-person sure would be a treat for your eyes. Sand in hi-res textures! Definitely worth fucking up the rest of the game.

Maybe the sand could have "Radiant AI" this time or something.

Heh, tumbleweeds that travel all over the wasteland, and sleep at night.

And there was mention of tumbleweeds in some of the random encounters in the first two Fallout games.

FallOut3 Patch Version 1.2 Game Fixes
------------------------------------------------

LIST OF GAME FIXES README

The Brotherhood of Steel used to give you a daedric claymore as a reward
Reward item has been changed to Warding Ring of Rad-Away.

That talking tumbleweed outside of Junktown, that you can sell goods to with no cash limit, has been scrapped for game balance issues.

Actually, our research dept. just sent up that tumbleweeds evolved from the whole radiation/FEV thing, and so that's why they look like medieval knights on horses.

Orc starting race has been changed to Supermutant.

Ghoul bandits no longer leave mort flesh at the Fishglow Bandit Camp.

Stealing Miss Cleo's calcinator at her shop in the Citadel no longer triggers the Glowing Fox rumor.

Graphical corruption suffered by Nvidia card owners has been masked by really cool midi music and a picture of Todd Howard inserting a rolled-up copy of the fallout bible into his rectum.

How about the pantera song intro/doom2 music for Lv 27 Monster Condo?
And would this process of auto-buggering resemble Mapplethorpe or Goatse?
I mean, we wouldn't want to have to guess which Bethesda employee is the face behind the rectum, right?
On the other hand, that might be fun.

not that I think this is a good idea...

but if it's forced to first person view, then turns could work.
Kind of like worms in 3d.. whenever it's your turn you have an amount of time to move/shoot/stimm up...

I guess you could integrate a kind of AP system as well, but then you loose the ability to aim/shoot. Which isn't a bad thing imo, just because it's FP, doesn't mean you have to aim/fire. Although this would probably be better in third person...

(Best of all though; isometric/viewed from above...)

You could also combine the two; time and AP.. the thought is that you spend "time" on doing an action, like you spend AP on doing one..
It's the one and same, I know, but it gains a new name and it might make better sense to hardcore FPS'ers.. thus making it a selling point for beth/and satisfying a part of our turn-based need.

Maybe you could further develop this.. kind of like FoT was turnbased/"realtimed"*cough*, you could let the game flow as you want, or choose to take it in turns, giving you a much higher survivability chance + saving ammo/stimmies since you're not spraying and healing up by mashing buttons (because it *WILL* be both PC and consol =( )
