Do You Have a PDA?

I'm going to get a PDA for Christmas, because I think it will help me stay organized, among other things. Anyway, I was wondering if any of you white suburban yuppies had experience with a PDA, and could offer insight into which brand/model I should go for, depending on my needs/price range, or at least tell me what the fuck PDA stands for.

The Blackberry seems to be the hip standard, even though they're bulky as fuck. If you don't want a cellphone/PDA combo, just get a Palm Pilot. They all pretty much work the same.

I've had PDAs before and I always end up going back to pen and paper.

Is a PDA REALLY the most effective/convenient sollution to organizing something else than large database components (like keeping track of crates ina storagehouse) ?

Yeah, nothing beats a note pad, doesn't run on batteries. Of course, run out of a pencil or pen you're screwed. But for the classic feel, get a note pad. Think of everything else you could get with your money?
