Wasteland Merc 2 Crafting menu

Old school Ultima Online like Crafting menu in Wasteland merc 2. You will need repair and science and doctor skill to craft all kinds of items. The more you got in those skills the more items you can make. Outdoorsman skill will be used for mining ore and for cooking food, food is also used for healing instead of stimpaks.

This will force the player to raise skills that arrant combat oriented or he will run out of food, ammo and drugs pretty fast and he wont get any advanced weapons or armours if these skills are low.

Here comes two screenshots from testing of the crafting computer. It needs some reworking still in dialogue area and balancing, but it works perfectly fine and contains alone twice as much lines of code than entire Wasteland merc 1 mod had put together.

"Meeleweps" and "wanna"? I thought that you had gotten your partner in crime to write the dialogue? :sadblinky:

That was test run of the crafting menu, we actually have 4 dialog writers on the team. Those screenshots are taken just after we finished and tested the script so it works. No point in making decent dialog for it if it ends up not working. But now that we beta tested it and know that it works it will be fixed by dialog writers.

Biggest reason why dialog on screenshot looks bad is cause we just cut and pasted coments from the script so it could be faster ready for testing.
