Ripping CDs

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

Ripping CDs

Post by S4ur0n27 »

Okay, so I used to use Nero to rip music off of my CDs, but then the trial version of the codec went to chit, so I got myself db poweramp, of which the codec trial version also expired.

What program or codec do you people use? I know I know, iTunes, but iTunes makes mp4 and not mp3, which my winamp can't read and I'm not sure if my ZenTouch can read em.

You fucking noob. Dont just SIT and way for the trail to expire. There is hardly and effective difference between a trail with limited validity and the same program without such limitations. Just run an internet search for the appropriate crack and apply it. This way you eternize a program's utility.

Winamp Pro 5.xx does all that shit after crack is applied(or if the program is bought, but that is for squares).
There are no 'knowns'. There are thing we know that we know. There are known unknowns. That is to say there are things that we now know we don't know. But there are also unknown unknowns. There are things we don't know we don't know. So when we do the best we can and we pull all this information together, and we then say well that's basically what we see as the situation, that is really only the known knowns and the known unknowns. And each year, we discover a few more of those unknown unknowns.

No.

iTunes does mp3s too, you just have to go into preferances and change it.

Oh chit, I guess I didn't look deep enough to discover this. Must be because I hate iTunes.

Anyway, I did my job looking on packetnews and found a neat little package which satisfies my entirely.

I use CDex myself, although that's just wav and mp3 ripping, which is all I really need. No expiration thingy on it, etc. Don't like WMA files, as my stereo can't read them, so I stopped using WMP. Fact I couldn't range my rips with it didn't help either.
