the only thing that should be dual-wielded in Fallout is two hot sluts and/or alcohol and marijuana. beat that Halo!

Dual wielding sucks. Only people with tuna-can chodes dual wield.
Fallout Tactics multiplayer: COOPnet and MegaCOOP map pack
Dude was shooting at everything, by the sounds of it.
Dual wielding is pretty gay, even if it's like knife in one hand and pistol in the other.
Anyways, there's always that temptation to turn something plausible but unlikely, like one-handed shooting and holding a knife, into something fully and completely retarded, like katana in one hand and LAW in the other.
Which reminds me. Anyone else hate hate hate hate hate the very sight of katanas in all these damned newfangled games?

Yeah, katanas look cool and are some of the most advanced swords ever made.
So as a matter of game evolution they are incorporated- who wants to go back to dorky swords when you've seen the sexy cool decorasword?
Still, in the 50's there were at least a few souveniers floating around the US, leftover from ww2.
weak justification FO-wise.
ehhh...
I'll take a huge 4 gauge riot shotgun over that shit any day.

I laughed my ass off the first time I picked up a gold plated DE in Hitman.
Desert Eagles are silly. I always thought they were built for the American domestic gun market, I only recently read somewhere that Israeli commandos actually use those things.
They're fun to hold, w/ a nice grip for my oversized hands, but the whole concept is staring-down-the-barrel intimidation, not killing.
If I had 1200 bucks just boring a hole through my pocket, I'd buy a blued .44 DE just to shoot cans in my backyard and to take to the range.
Couldn't pack it though, couldn't stuff that stupid thing down my pants. Plus, automatics aren't my style, esp. not automatics with like a 6-round capacity. All in all, a pretty pointless gun. What fucking good is it?
Maybe video game designers throw them in there because of the intimidation factor, and for this the gangsta crowd thinks they're rad, boss, and possibly even snap.
Ditto with the .50 BMG, and there's just range to shoot it at 'round these parts. And change cans to economy cars.
Course, I don't want to see fucking 357 SIG in there, either.

I always thought primary-secondary attack should cost a point to use, honestly. But I guess the logic behind it was that you can sling one gun/sledge/golfbag over your shoulder while using another one?
Worked great and more "logical" than dual wield, even though "reality" in games isn't a concern so much as stupidity in games is.
I guess all of this depends on whether or not Action Points will have any place in Oblivion 2: Fallout Bugaloo.
And yes, even "Action Points" like in FOT.
I'm not picky at this point.
How sad is that?

ApTyp, isn't it possible to train up a duel-wielding skill..?
I don't see the point doing so, or the need for it.
But say someone did it for the heck of it, or to beat a world record or whatever, wouldn't it be possible anyway?
I haven't tried dual wielding anything else but softguns with blowback, and while they don't exactly match the recoil of any handgun, I didn't find it paticularly difficult to hit anything.
it helped tilting them though.
