Arthur - Or The Decline And Fall Of The British Empire, was a concept album released in 1969 by The Kinks. I'm spooging over the remastered version. Check it out. Or something.

Classic rock, 60's rock. The Kinks are really good, I prefer them to the Beatles.l

You got it. I too prefer them over The Beatles, but I don't really like The Beatles that much, anyway.

Their music is all over the place, but it generally falls into classic rock. If you're interested, check out either Arthur or Village Green Preservation Society, two fantastic albums.

By the way, three songs you've almost certainly heard by The Kinks if you've ever used a radio are Lola, You Really Got Me, and All Day and All of the Night. The two albums I suggested were produced at a time when they were making music that's really not akin to what you've heard on the radio. Not sure what that will mean to you, guess it depends on what you like better.
