Queen were and are the greatest. They're doing a reunion tour (with Paul Rodgers on vocals), and I've got tickets to see them twice in the UK. Due to the demand being much more than they anticipated, they're now trying to get London's Hyde Park - which holds 100,000+ people - to play in the summer.

Also I think they're going to the US/Canada in the autumn.

Yes I heard about this, but I hadn't heard who was singing.

Glad to be back on topic.

They aren't scheduled for the US yet.

Call me crazy, but doesn't Freddie Mercury being dead kinda ruin the point?

You hate Queen apperently, so wouldn't that kinda ruin the point of you not caring?

Then again......I'd hate to see Van Halen in concert with Sammy Hagar...

Paul Rodgers is a good choice. He's a good singer but sounds nothing like Freddie Mercury. We all KNOW Freddie's dead. If you don't like the idea of his songs being played again under the name 'queen', don't go to the concert. The hundreds of thousands of people who don't feel the same as that will be busy enjoying the shows.

Oh no doubt, Queen is a great band no doubt and I wish the concert made a US tour. I was just saying, I can somewhat relate to what Subhuman is saying because of what happened to Van Halen, but that sort of disapointment probably comes from the fact that David Lee Roth is alive and kicking somewhere.

Freddie Mercury isn't coming back, but it's stupid for a band with such talent to simply NOT try and play music anymore.

Strangely, one of the things I'm most excited about is Roger Taylor drumming again. He's 56 (or maybe 55), and hasn't done a proper drumming tour since 1986, yet he's doing all these shows as the sole drummer, percussionist, and singing whilst playing the drums. Some of Queen's tracks are hard for a 25 year old drummer, and Taylor's doing them at 56. I can't wait to see him do that.

It's funny, alot of people associate Queen with We will rock you and We are the champions and Bohemian Rhapsody but when they actualy listen to a Queen CD they are always saying "omg i didnt know Queen sang this song! I love this song!"

Edit: What's even worse is when some douche hears "I want to break free" and the first thing they think of is the Coca Cola commercials.

Goddamn sheep.

If you hate queen, what does it matter if it's Freddie Mercury to you? There, rephrased after I actually got abit of sleep.

Wow Sub, being gay and all I'd suspect that you'd enjoy Queen. You would be able to relate with Freddie seeing as you recently contracted AIDS from your gay spouse.
