I voted for "Push It" was okay, because I kind of liked that Pretty Piece of Flesh (i think that was garbage?) track. Aside from that, I don't think I've heard much else of them, and am not about to rush out and buy this new album.
Yeah, that was it. I have the soundtrack CD for that film somewhere... a pretty decent soundtrack. And that track you linked is OK as well, like you said there's a lot worse out there, even though it's a bit 'teen goth angsty'.

Well atoga, in some obscure, strange parts of the world, I vaguely recall that certain tone deaf, weak minded media whores regard Garbage as music ! MUSIC ! Some of these misguided sods even believe it to be an example of fine, talented, enjoyable MUSIC ! Fortunately for we free thinker types, in this instance the 'music' defines itself. Think of any 'artist' that sells itself through capitalising on consumer apathy/stupidity and appearance, rather than their sound and ability ; think of any generic, repetitive, superficial and stale 'group' of vapid pretenders, chances are you have something that will at least resemble Garbage in name, if not in nature.
It's almost poetic that Darryl likes them so much. Huzzah.
I own V2. It has some good songs, but let me stress that the last time I heard that CD was 4 years ago. This might appeal to you if you're in that "I think I'm special, introverted, and also angry" period. I have a hard time admitting I purchased that CD nowdays(I actually had a few incidents where people laughed in my face when I admitted I own a copy), just like I have a hard time admitting that I used to listen to The Cranberries.
Bottom line is you need to refine your taste already, you stupid swell guy.

I didn't say we don't need any threads about personal opinions, but it gets boring when everyone makes a thread about "OMG NEW ALBUM" and all the people who don't like it, say it sucks.
It just came out today. And it rocks. Hugely. Much more consistent than their last album, Shirley still looks hot, they still know how to rock, yada yada yada. Happy times.
