British telly

Talk about music, movies, TV, books, other types of entertainment and what your vices are. Also, if you're addicted to the high you get off Aspirin, this is the place to talk about it.

British telly

Post by Subhuman »

I'm seriously thinking of tossing out my TV and just buying British DVDs from now on. You've got your MI-5, your Queer as Folk, your Office, your Graham Norton, your Coupling, your Absolutely Fabulous...fucking Limey bastards make better television than us.

If you throw out your TV, what are you going to watch the DVDs on.

And Graham Norton? Who the fuck is retarded enough to like that driveling phony, and what would their motivation be for doing so? The whole "whee!-look-at-me-I'm-fabulously-faggy" schtick is pretty boring, not to mention derivative.

Pretty much I have no problem with gay people other than for the fact that there is no reason for them to be flamboyant.

It's nothing more than advertisement to other gays? And here I thought that if you were gay you would be attracted to someone who actually acts like the same sex? As it stands ultra flamboyant gays have created a third, indeterminately bizzare gender classification for themselves D:

And it's annoying as fuck.

I never said you wanted to make out with the guy, either.

But I did say that his show is derivative at best and not at all funny.

Why do we put up with Subhuman then?

Edit: Also, quit wishing you were British, you pansy. You're an Ontarian. Deal with it.

I find The Office, MI-5 and Da Ali G Show to be all the UK has to offer me. What really strikes me wierd though, is that British television is much more entertainingg than Canada's Degrassi High-esque crap.

(Even though Buzz and Monday Report are awesome.)

I can't remember the last time I watched some TV. We do have some good shows here, I guess. The League of Gentlemen is a very good show that people haven't mentioned here. I don't like the way series consist of six episodes rather than the American 24 or whatever it is, though.

And the shows I'm most looking forward to are American: new South Park, and new Family Guy.

For the sake of those for whom the obvious brilliance of TLoG remained unnoticed, you may have a point, Mr. Teat.
