Why ? This topic is entirely valid. Music. Do you like Baroque, or do you hate it ? :drunk:

As a whole, no. Most of the genre is excessively self-conscious and worse, jejune.

Blargh, I pull shit out of my ass all the time. I don't even know what Baroque music is (I do know what Baroque art is, though, and that's some ugly shit).

You don't know what Baroque is?

Music of the 17th century, like Bach and Vivaldi to name a few. A lot of harpsicord saw use at that time. Some of the best music ever made.

How can you not know what it is?

You fuckstick.

I don't like classical at all. I just really can't stand it anymore. I demand stuff with an element of improvisation to it, namely rock or jazz. Classical is just so, like, stagnant and not fun. D:

I wouldn't call all Calssical music stagnant, it just depends on what you hear. There's a lot of different styles considering "classical music" encompess around 400 years.

While I usually prefer Jazz and Rock, there's great classical music out there. Very complex stuff as well.

What do you feel about neo classical composers?

I like Philip Glass, if he counts as neo-classical. I don't have that much knowledge of neo-classical, though.

I can put the record rolling, so to speak, on some occasions - if we're talking about classic-classic, Mozart, Bach etc. I don't really care about what they represent, Baroque, Romance, whatever. So I'm pretty neutral about classic music, it's just ear noise that doesn't make my head hurt.

Neo-classical on the other hand... I think the subject's been pretty much chewn through over the past few centuries, let it go man, the HORSE IS DEAD.

Uhm... Henryk Gorecki's Symphony #3 is good.

That's about all I know about contemporary classical.
