bring back "you have x new messages" in v13 theme

because it's a bit difficult to tell whether you have new private messages or not if you happen to have popups blocked for dac.

and before you scumbags get the chance to spam, I reply to myself:

Yeah I took that out today. I can put it back in if people want, I just thought the theme looked nicer when all the buttons had the same style, rather than text.
