Regardless, the article is far from a heavy study of U.S.-Canada relations. It is more of an Op-Ed piece, that, in the end, shows the author's pride for America, and being American, despite all of our problems. I.e., this:

Until WW3 comes to level the playing field, I think it's safe to say that America is pretty much on top.

Liberals don't hate America; they hate how much America sucks.

If that's true, does that mean that the liberals (and other countries) hate us because we suck? If we no longer suck in the future, will they like us?

I would be seriously concerned about a country that isn't flawed and inconsistent. That would mean there is no dissent or contraditions within the people. Sounds a lot like communism.

How the hell did you come up with that comparison? Lemons to lemonade means turning a disadvantage into an advantage or a setback into an oppurtinity. Seems like you left the good part out.
