Fallout Enclave

Post by RobertHouse »

This mod is one of the best mods ever made for Fallout Tactics!
The mod was made by GunnerShi and improved by RobCo.

The mod is real time only!
If you play in turn-base you will likely encounter lots of bugs and experience crashing, we are trying to fix that problem.

To install the mod, download all of the files then extract only the first file to your Interplay folder with preferably 7-Zip, if you need help setting the mod up comment here and a RobCo support member will assist you ASAP.

To start the mod click on the Enclave.BAT file located in your Fallout Tactics folder.

This is badass looking, I'm going to give it a go. How much work was it getting the sprites out of Fallout 2 into Tactics?

A hell of a lot of work, right now that sprite has been replaced with a fully animated Tactics style Enclave armor.

If you want the Fallout 2 sprite its located at \Enclave\sprites\characters\EnclavePower OLD NOT IN GAME.spr

If you want to play with it in game rename EnclavePower.spr to another name and rename EnclavePower OLD NOT IN GAME.spr to EnclavePower.spr

Hope you enjoy!

The next patch will rebalance the game and fix countless bugs and errors, should be here soon.

I didn't fully answer your question Retlaw, the conversion takes forever to do, it would take probably a weak or two to convert all of the files and thats working nonstop, a fully new sprite from a 3D program would only take 2 or 3 days.

I was aiming for a Fallout 2 mod at one point, i got all of the item sprites and around 75% of the tiles in Fallout 2 converted to Tactics but i had a computer crash and i lost everything and that mod died. :(

@Manoil and @Retlaw83
Happy your interested in my projects. :)

I know I've already said this in the other thread, but my gosh this looks so COOL!!! I'm still shocked at how they were able to get the Fallout 1 & 2's sprites into the Phoenix Engine of Fallout Tactics. I mean, isn't FO1 & FO2'S engine completely different from the one for Tactics?

:yikes:

Also, with how obscure the modding community is for Fallout Tactics, has there been any other mods like this ever since then?
