Mapping Home?

Hmmm, this place could use a better color scheme and maybe some avatars.

Question? What about users(including me for the moment), that can't upload avatar pictures to public access servers? They don't get avatars?

As a fellow Map Rat, I'll do you a favor, Flamescreen. If you can't get an avatar uploaded, email me the image, and I'll post it on my avatar page and send you the URL so that you can have an av, too. Sound like a deal?

Cheers,

OTB

PS Now if only I could figure out how to use symbols like the trademark jobber, everything would be okay...

Wow, I take a couple of days off from FOT and you guys move the entire forum on me! If I was prone to paranoia I'd think you were trying to get rid of me (just kidding, I read about the stuff that was going on and think Kreegle and crew were right to leave).

A couple of questions:

1) What is this BBCode stuff that there are options for everywhere in the mechanics of this forum?

2) While these forums are still brand new, shouldn't that "I agree to the terms and am over the age of 13" prompt for registration be changed to something like "I'm a grown-up over the age of 21 and promise not to ask lots of stupid questions" or something?

3) I found out about this new forum while looking at the old Duck and Cover forum, where there's still posting going on. Is this spot intended to immediately be the new center of the FOT mapping universe?

This new forum seems pretty cool, and I especially like the function where you can view all of the thread you're responding to while composing a reply.

*whispers* He's on to us, guys! Time for Plan B!

1) Dunno what you mean. The various buttons below the Subject text box? Well, that's just some stuff to use in yer message. Bold, italics, etc.

2) I agree with the "not asking stupid questions" part, but I'm only 19... (20 in less than a month, though :) )

3) Well, I suppose DaC wanted the new forums up ASAP in case GSI up and shut 'em down, although I dunno if anyone but Kreegle can officially end the "old DaC" from existence.

You'll also notice, despite my title (*grumble*), that I'm a moderator in this here mappin' forum  So, between myself and OTB, we can hopefully "filter out" the really, REALLY, REALLY stupid questions.

If you check below the Emoticons when replying it's there. Also in profile and just about every other screen you as user can get to. It probably has to do with the various buttons and such, like you said.

Btw, you shouldn't worry, Endocore. Even if old DAC was closed I was going to e-mail you the new address.
