Interstitial ads?!

I was on the forum index and I hit "IN THE NEWS" because I want to know what's in the fucking news (turns out there was a new Auto Assault preview wowee) and I get one of those crappy interstitial ads like you get on GameSpy and IGN. What the hell?

That was my fault. I was trying to put in the popup ads but instead, well, it screwed up. It's fixed now. But there are now popups that will come up once in eight hours; this is because the subdomains don't use a template so putting in the standard ads on them would be really difficult, and we're lazy here. So as an alternative, we have the popups again, which aren't really a problem.

We have no control over the ads - though we can raise certain issues with Taluntain.

By interstitial ads, I'm thinking Spazmo means those ones that just show an ad and then "click here to continue to whatever". DAC doesn't have any of those.

Alternatively, there are those ads that pop-up in the middle of the screen using some type of wacky DHTML / JavaScript stuff which cover the screen and have their own close box. DAC has none of those either (that I know of. Iif we do, then hey - there you go).

But given Spazmo posted this in FUCKING MAY, I'm going to go out on a limb and say there's been no further issues with it.
