Good looking 3D top down view

Since Bethesda decided to make Fallout 3, we figured we might as well have a forum about it.

Except sans cleanliness and ships, of course. :)

Yeah. Proof that the top down viewpoint can still look fucking awesome.

Sorry Bethsoft, I've thought hard about first person viewpoint, and it just ain't Fallout. Top down or nothing.

Man, that sure looks pretty. I'd be happy with half of that jazz, and the rest on good gameplay and story.

Apparently it's set in time directly after AOE2 (as it was set after AOE1), the time of explorers and the dawn of a new age. You know, some protestant-burning fun and raping Indian (native american) women.

Ok...seriously...these are some of the nicest 3D graphics I have seen in a game, especially an RTS. Bethesda, I expect no less!

You know, I've been thinking... With the progress of AoE games, they'll propably hit modern age in AoE 4 or 5.

Does that mean we could have our post apocolyptic AoE when iterative 6 comes around?

It's pretty cool, I should say. But I won't mind if they do such camera as in the Neverwinter Nights.

How ludicrously pretty. If I had a decent PC I'd buy AOE3 in a heartbeat.

Well, we all agree that it's pretty, but it doesn't look realistic to me at all. Perhaps that was the goal for that game, and it works, but I doubt a post-apocalyptic game would look good in such a lush cartoony-style. I don't know about you guys, but I want Stalkeresque environmental-realism for Fallout 3!

Definatly cool graghics, but it looks like it should be for the new baldurs gate not fallout, then again i'd much rather that then 1st person...

It's true that Fallout would need to be more detailed, but I think these shots show off pretty well how a 3D engine could be played isometrically.

Sweet nickname by the way.
